ABS rolled out across Fife Council
July 2008
Mine Digital has successfully completed the deployment of our new Accommodation Brokerage System (ABS) in partnership with Fife Council. After many months of development Fife ABS was unveiled initially in May within a controlled group of users. As a result of the early success of this it has since been rolled out across the entire supported accommodation sector in Fife bringing a huge range of new benefits to a wider audience.
Key to the success of the launch has been the addition of a new Housing Central user role which gives Fife Council’s Housing Services Division complete control and ensures the smooth running of the accommodation allocation process.
The Fife ABS system is an innovative approach to streamlining the process of allocating supported accommodation in Fife. The system allows the secure publishing and allocation of available accommodation to clients in Fife who seek accommodation through a large number of independent organisations in Fife. It enable Fife Council to maintain visibility and control of the process whilst improving the allocation process through transparency and 24/7 online access.
“Fife Council is very excited to be launching this new service to our partners” said Fife Council Project Co-ordinator, Joe MacIntyre. “And we are confident that the Fife ABS system will really help improve the service levels for everyone involved in providing supported accommodation in Fife”.
“The early success of Fife ABS is a testament to the close working partnership that Mine has forged with Fife Council and we are delighted to be rolling this out across the entire sector in Fife” added Danny O’Donnell, Managing Director at Mine.
